Winton (white) and his sister, Addie, get on each other’s nerves a lot. Ok, it’s usually a one-way street, but there’s hissing and pinned ears, the whole enchilada. On this quiet Sunday morning, with Nat King Cole playing in the background, Winton woke up from a nap and immediately began to look for his older sister. When he realized where she was, well… this happened. 🥰

The first-ever hatching of two African spoonbill chicks at the Toronto Zoo! Apologies for the blurring early on: due to Covid concerns a LOT of areas are roped off so it was hard to get a good vantage point; when I did, my broken arm (yes, seriously!) made it more difficult to hold the camera still! Was about to film just the rushing water so I could listen to it again and again. Had just hit record when I saw a movement out of the corner of my eye. So I turned the camera to follow my little visitor until he disappeared. ❤️

Pretty sure this was filmed from the table in front of ours at Hugh’s. The Sloth.Band changed my life w their virtuosity . Forever grateful to Chris, Ken and Tom for introducing me to some of my very favourite music. Missed Tom that night but congas stood tall. Lucky us here in Toronto to share a neighbourhood w these amazing ambassadors.

@River actually they are! They where descovored first and given the name panda which basically means "bamboo eater" they're just not related to the giant panda. They're both called pandas because their main diet consists of bamboo
